The Grove

The Grove

The refurbished garden area is very near complete, and the area is looking lovely and bright, especially thanks to all the beautiful donations from you! A lovely group of volunteers have planted three fruit trees in the centre, and the residents have also planted some tomatoes that are getting lots of sun at the moment, so we will hopefully have some home-grown fresh fruit soon!

Abbeyvale

We have had a lovely month packed with activities and lots of fun trips out. The residents have loved going out for an ice cream and trips to the coast! We are always open to outing ideas so please let us know of anywhere that you think our residents would enjoy!

Our garden is looking lovely with lots of flowers and plants in full bloom. Please feel free to use our outdoor areas during your visits, but please don’t forget hats and suncream as it gets warmer and sunnier! We will soon
be opening the new tearoom by the lounge for visitors. You will be welcome to
use our facilities to make refreshments or yourselves and your loved ones. We
will also have some biscuits. We are very happy to be getting this facility, we
just ask that you clean up after yourselves when you are done.

Abbeyside

We were very kindly donated a beautiful bird table in memory of a late resident. We will keep it well topped up with food for the birds and look forward to seeing them all come to rest.

Cream Tea

On a sunny Friday afternoon, residents at Abbeyvale were treated to a cream tea.  With red velvet cake, shortbread and scones on offer, it was difficult to choose a favourite.

Scottish Pipers

On Tuesday, Mr Richard Bond and Mr Peter Liernam boosted morale with a visit to all homes.   With the beautiful weather and gardens acting as a backdrop, a fantastic afternoon was had by all.

Easter Cheer

Easter has arrived at Abbeyvale, with staff and resident being treated to Easter eggs.  We’re surrounded by chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

We would like to thank you all for your support at this difficult time.  We’re truly humbled by the kindness shown.  Your pictures, messages cards and letters keep us all smiling.

May you all have a safe and Happy Easter!!!

Please be reassured

Following reports regarding incidents in Care Homes in Spain we want to reassure our relatives that our care homes continue to be staffed and supplied.

We are working closely with all the main bodies and Moray Council who have in place a focus group specifically targeting Care Home sustainability through this period to avoid exactly what has been seen in Spain at a few Care Homes.

We are members of Scottish care who we are working closely with who put out this statement on behalf of all the Care Homes in Scotland which we fully endorse.

We again thank you all for you patience and understanding during these worrying times.

An Afternoon of Music

As a special thank you for our sponsorship, and wearing their new Tshirts, Abbeyvale was honored to welcome the Moray Youth Choir on Friday.

With their fabulous singing, the afternoon was undoubtedly a memorable one and we really can’t wait for their return.   Thank you all!

A Sunny Lossiemouth

The Abbeyside bus has been on its travels again!!!  This week, we enjoyed a wee wonder to Lossiemouth for an ice cream.  We spent a lovely afternoon, reminiscing about childhoods at the beach and learning about how the man made sand dunes were made.

Enjoying The Garden

Our garden club is well underway and what lovely weather we’ve had.  This week, residents have been very busy parsley, tomatoes and carrots are some of the plants being planted this week.  Well done everyone.

On Our Travels

It’s been a lovely week and we’ve been making the most of the glorious sunshine. This week our travels have taken us to Pluscarden Abbey, Victoria Bridge in Aberlour and Craigellachie.
